Capabilities

What Clarity Vehicle Insurance does.

ACORD field extraction

Named insured, carrier, policy number, coverage types, limits, effective date, expiration date, certificate holder, additional insureds. Works on ACORD 25, 28, 27, and carrier custom formats.

Coverage-adequacy rules

Per-contract or per-role coverage requirements (e.g. 'General liability ≥ $1M for every contractor on city property'). Validated on ingest.

Expiration alerting

T-60 to the insured, T-30 to the owner, T-0 and beyond to leadership. Grace windows configurable per contract type.

Fleet & contractor reconciliation

Match each certificate to the correct fleet asset or contractor record. Orphaned certificates and uncovered assets both surface.

Additional insured verification

Confirms the correct named additional-insured is on the certificate. Flags if missing, misspelled, or for the wrong entity.

Workflow integration

Block work orders, vehicle dispatches, or permit issuance automatically if coverage is expired, inadequate, or missing.

Frequently asked

Does it work with non-ACORD forms?
Yes. The extraction schema handles ACORD 25/27/28 as the standard and also carrier-custom formats. For truly unique formats we typically add a schema variant in a few hours during the pilot phase.
Can we set different coverage requirements per contract?
Yes. Coverage rules are stored per contract, per role, or per vendor — whichever granularity you need. Rules include minimum limits, required endorsements, and required additional insureds.
What happens when a certificate is rejected?
The insured is automatically notified with specifics (e.g. 'Auto liability limit is $500K but contract requires $1M'). The certificate stays in a rejected state until an acceptable one is uploaded, and any dependent workflows (dispatch, work orders) are paused until then.
